From the beginning, I knew I wanted to create something that celebrated true craftsmanship, something slower, more thoughtful and made by people whose skill could be seen in every stitch. That's what led me to Peru and to the incredible artisans who hand knit every sweater individually.
I love knowing that no two pieces are exactly alike. Every sweater carries the subtle characteristics of the person who made it, making it feel incredibly personal and special.

When I imagined creating BLANK's knitwear, I knew I wanted to work with artisans whose craft had been passed down through generations. Peru felt like the only choice.
Unlike machine-knitted garments, every Hand Knit Sweater is individually crafted by skilled artisans, with each stitch completed by hand. This slower process means no two sweaters are ever exactly the same, making every piece beautifully unique.
Working with local artisans using locally sourced fibres was incredibly important to me. Their knowledge, passion and dedication to preserving traditional craftsmanship is reflected in every sweater they create.
Choosing to produce our hand knits this way isn't the easiest or least expensive path, but it's one I believe in wholeheartedly. Every sweater represents hours of skilled craftsmanship and a commitment to creating something truly special.
