I've always believed the best cardigan is the one that's always within reach. The one you throw over your shoulders on cool mornings, pack in your suitcase for every trip and reach for without even thinking.
When designing The Easy Cardigan, comfort was my biggest priority. I wanted it to feel soft, relaxed and effortless while still looking elevated enough to wear anywhere. The baby alpaca blend was an easy choice, it creates a knit that's incredibly lightweight, beautifully warm and a pleasure to wear.
This is one of those pieces I know I'll have in my wardrobe for years to come, and I hope it becomes one of those forever favourites in yours too.
Our knitwear is crafted in Peru, where alpaca fibre has been treasured for generations and is celebrated as one of the country's most beautiful natural materials.
We chose a premium baby alpaca blend because it's exceptionally soft, naturally warm and beautifully lightweight. Unlike heavier fibres, baby alpaca provides warmth without bulk while remaining breathable and comfortable to wear.
It's a fibre that only becomes more loved over time, making it the perfect choice for knitwear designed to last for many seasons.
When I began designing BLANK's knitwear, there was only one place I wanted to make it, Peru.
I wanted to work with artisans whose craft revolves around knitwear and who understand these beautiful natural fibres better than anyone. Many of the people who create our knitwear have generations of experience working with alpaca yarns, bringing incredible knowledge and attention to every piece.
Choosing Peru wasn't simply about where our knitwear would be made, it was about partnering with people who share the same appreciation for quality, craftsmanship and timeless design.

Why Coconut Shell Buttons? We chose natural coconut shell buttons for their unique texture, durability and beautiful organic character. No two buttons are exactly alike, making every cardigan subtly unique while avoiding conventional plastic trims.
