Clothing made to be worn, loved, and kept.
At BLANK, we design every piece with longevity in mind — natural fibres, thoughtful construction, and timeless silhouettes. Caring for your garments with intention helps them last longer, age beautifully, and remain staples in your wardrobe for years to come.
Here’s how to look after each fibre with ease.
NATURAL FIBERS
Hemp & Organic Cotton
Soft, breathable, and durable, these fibers become even better with wear.
How to care:
-
Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water.
-
Avoid harsh detergents, choose gentle, eco-friendly formulas.
-
Line dry in the shade to maintain shape and protect color.
-
Steam or iron if needed.
Longevity tip:
Hemp softens naturally over time. The more you wear it, the better it feels.
BABY ALPACA & MERINO KNITWEAR
Hand-crafted by artisans, our knitwear blends require gentle care so they retain their shape and softness.
How to care:
-
Hand wash in cold water using a gentle wool detergent.
-
Do not wring or twist, press water out gently.
-
Lay flat to dry on a clean towel, reshaping while damp.
-
Store folded, never hung, to avoid stretching.
Longevity tip:
A fabric comb helps remove natural pilling and keeps knitwear looking fresh. Pilling is a normal characteristic of soft, natural fibers — not a sign of poor quality.
DEAD STOCK BLENDS (SILK, COTTON, HEMP)
Textured, elevated, and low-impact, these fabrics deserve soft care.
How to care:
-
Cold hand wash or delicate machine wash in a laundry bag.
-
Dry flat or line dry away from direct sunlight.
-
Iron or steam on low heat.
Longevity tip:
Dead stock fabrics can be more delicate, storing them folded or hanging with padded hangers helps maintain structure.
EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS
T-shirts, pants, shirts.....the pieces you wash the most.
How to care:
-
Wash cold, inside out, to preserve color and fibre quality.
-
Avoid fabric softener, which can break down natural fibers.
-
Line dry whenever possible.
Longevity tip:
Rotate your basics to extend their lifespan, even the most durable fibers benefit from rest.
GENERAL CARE PHILOSOPHY
Wear often, wash less
Most natural fibers don’t need frequent washing. Airing them out between wears preserves their integrity.
Repair, don’t replace
A small mend or re-stitch can extend the life of a piece by years. We encourage gentle repairs as part of slowing down consumption.
Store with intention
-
Fold knits
-
Hang shirts and outerwear
-
Avoid overcrowded wardrobes to keep fibers breathing
WHY IT MATTERS
Longevity is one of the most powerful forms of sustainability. When we care for our clothing, we reduce waste, protect resources, and honor the craftsmanship behind each piece.
At BLANK, we believe that clothing should be worn not discarded. These small everyday habits help your garments stay beautiful, functional, and loved for seasons to come.
